Ramadhan and the next step

Salam,

I hope you are in good health.
My favourite month of the year is back here again and things are looking up for me on most sides now.
I just love Ramadhan. Im not a religious person, so I wont bluff you that in Ramadhan I am close to god and all the goodness of the heart that comes along.
No I wont.
Though some people take it as their right to be all 'religous' and start telling people 'like me' that now is the time to change...insaf...etc.
Thank you so much for the advice, but usually it is these people who would be the first to revert to their old 'self' once ramadhan is over.
Anyway, I love it because of the discipline that the month enforces on us. We sleep early, we wake up early and to me everything appears to go according to plan.

I just love the courtesy and giving spirit that is in abundance during this month.
People are even nicer on the road!
I just love it when people are much more nice to each other.

The only thing is why cant we be nice all year round and not just during this month?
Another thing that bothers me is how people use the month as an excuse to cut or reduce their workload. People groan and complain when they are asked to do their normal load of work, it i as if it is forsaken that you can work less, or slower during this month.
What a shame.

Things are looking up now.
Another reason why I love this month.

Warm regards

Doc

ps: I am saddened by the recent tragedy in Cameron highlands. I have very fond memories of the people there from my biking trips(see the grinning face at the top of the blog?) there as well as during medical trips. The orang asli people are so warm and gentle, though a bit shy.

We had our annual batch buka puasa with the boys recently

Usually im the one yang baca doa..:-)

Some of us remain good looking forever..

It was a big turn out

Meanwhile Awah and Atiyah are growing up beautifully and spending time with someone whom they are calling mummy.

"ady, nice phone now..now at least your phone is better than kakak's!"

Yes, my maid had a more expensive phone than me!

We went to see the fireflies at Kampung Kuantan, Kuala Selangor recently.
This makcik was one of the boatsmen! Boatswoman..

So what is the next step ady?
